Gothenburg Fringe is welcoming submissions from artists for a new co-production with Stockholm Fringe, entitled “6 New Works for a New Reality”.We’re looking for artists based in the Västra Götaland region to submit an idea for a new site-specific work, which can be presented digitally.
Proposals will be accepted until Friday 11 June and the chosen artist will be contacted by Friday 18 June with production of the work to take place over the summer. Proposals and questions should be sent to info@gbgfringe.com.
Gothenburg Fringe will commission the work to be produced and will assist with filming and the platform to showcase the finished work.
The commissioned work will be one of six new digital productions, to be premiered during the digital part of Gothenburg and Stockholm’s Fringe Festivals in September.
The six works will be packaged and presented at Fringe Festivals around the world, showcasing the artists and giving them an opportunity to perform within the vast international Fringe scene with a place at one other international Fringe guaranteed and to be announced shortly.
Proposals with one or more of the following characteristics will be favoured:
- site-specific – exploring the environment within the city
- interactive
- can be performed or presented live
- 10-15 minutes long, or shortened to that length to be presented as a package
- representing the current landscape of performing arts
