Want to volunteer at Gothenburg Fringe 2023?

Updated: Jul 5, 2023

Gothenburg Fringe Festival 2023 takes place on 1-10 September and we're on the hunt for volunteers to help us deliver another fantastic event.

The eighth edition of the festival sees approximately 150 performances take place at 10 venues around the city. Fringe gathers a unique blend of talented artists from around the world in theatre, comedy, dance, music, poetry and everything in between.

Do you want to join an international team of passionate festival organisers? We have a variety of roles available and consider all applications, regardless of experience. You can also submit your application HERE.

Right now we are looking for people who like to get involved in the following areas:

•Venue management (Venue assistance and administration)

•Tech (lights, sound, stage management)

•Communications (Photography, videography, media and communications)

Feel free to contact us for questions on volunteers@gbgfringe.com.

Our volunteer coordinators Elin Hansson and Sidhant Ray arrange regular meetups during the summer for you to meet other volunteers and get a feel for the festival before you decide whether you like to join or not and an introduction to your tasks.

Minimum engagement

Minimum engagement is 1-2 shifts (3-6 hours). It's also important to join a meeting where we tell you all information before the event. This requires around 1 hour. The festival also serves several opportunities for social time with the other volunteers.

When will I be working?

According to the festival schedule made with respect to your availability. The festival takes place from 1-10 September (most shifts in the evening).

Once you register your interest here, we'll be in touch to share more information.
