World Fringe Day celebrations

On Saturday 11 July, Gothenburg Fringe celebrated World Fringe Day with like-minded festivals around the globe with a day full of online connection as well as reflection and discussion about what Fringe means to us.

Our World Fringe Day began much like every other Saturday morning in the past few months as we gathered at our office to continue planning for the festival on 3-6 September.

After a short while, Giulia and Chris popped next door to go live with fellow producers as part of the official World Fringe Day programme, which you can enjoy below.

A major part of our planning meetings at the moment is working on how we can make this year's event as safe and inclusive as possible in the face of the current global health crisis. Our current action plan can be read here and we put together a video for the occasion to highlight how our actions are done with the local community in mind.

Programming for this year's event is all but finished and we'll be revealing the performers very shortly. If you have yet to experience Gothenburg Fringe and feel what makes it so special, here's a taste of what's to come for audience and artists alike.
